What syncs from Polaris to Monotree

Polaris and Monotree integration

Monotree checks Polaris Data, the workforce software from Polaris Elements, every 15 minutes for the current employees at the sites you have given it access to. Each person comes over with name, email, mobile number, start and leaving dates, and the jobs they hold at each site, and the shifts on the rota follow. Pay rates stay behind.

Nothing changes in how you build rotas in Polaris Data. Because Monotree matches jobs by their name, a job such as Supervisor feeds one Profession across all your sites, and each site can feed its own Department. The start date decides when onboarding opens, and the leaving date counts as a working day, so access ends only once it is over.

Questions about the Polaris integration

  1. Which part of the Polaris Data rota comes over?

    The shifts on the Polaris Data rota for the people in Monotree, from 14 days back to 30 ahead by default, up to 60 each way. Each one shows at the site where it is worked.

  2. Can we use jobs as groups?

    Yes. Each job, like Bar Staff or Chef, can become a Profession in Monotree. Jobs are matched by name, so one Profession covers the same job at every site.

  3. We have several sites. Which ones come over?

    The sites Monotree has access to in Polaris Data, with the people based at them. Someone with jobs at two of those sites joins both Departments.

  4. What does Monotree take from Polaris Data about each person?

    Name, email, mobile number, start and leaving date, and the sites and jobs people have. People need an email to be added. Pay rates stay where they are.

  5. Does someone keep the app on their leaving date?

    Yes, all of it. Access ends after that day is over in your time zone, and later still if you have set a grace period in Monotree.

  6. Does the Polaris integration cost extra?

    No. It is included in every Monotree plan.

  7. Can we add people who are not in Polaris?

    Yes. Add people like head office staff in Monotree directly. The sync only changes the employees it brought in.
