Aboard by Teamtailor holds your HR records, and this integration copies employees, departments and job titles from it into Monotree every 15 minutes. Group membership comes from each person's current positions, so a position with a past end date stops counting. No shifts come over, as Aboard plans none, and people without a work email wait until they have one.

HR keeps creating, moving and ending employments where it does today. Monotree reads the earliest start date to time each onboarding journey, sorts people into groups by department and job title, and lets a leaver keep access through their last working day. Names typed in capitals arrive in proper case, and a work phone is used before a personal one.

Questions about the Aboard integration

  1. Can Aboard shifts show in the Monotree calendar?

    No. Aboard keeps HR records and has no rota, so there are no shifts to sync. Employees, departments and job titles come over.

  2. What does Monotree take from an Aboard profile?

    Name, work email, phone, first start date, departments and job titles. Salaries, bank details, home addresses and time off stay where they are.

  3. What about people without a work email?

    They are skipped until they have one. Monotree creates users from the work email, never from a personal one.

  4. What happens when someone changes position?

    Their groups follow at the next sync. Once a position has ended, its department and job title no longer count, and those of the new position do.

  5. Does someone with two employments lose access when one ends?

    No. Access lasts until every employment they have in Aboard has ended. After their last working day the next sync removes them, and with a grace period set in Monotree the app keeps working for them that many hours longer.

  6. Does the Aboard integration cost extra?

    No. It is included in every Monotree plan.

  7. Can we add people who are not in Aboard?

    Yes. Add people like head office staff in Monotree directly. The sync only changes the employees it brought in.
