What is Analytics in Monotree?

Included in every Monotree plan, with no add-ons

Analytics in Monotree are live dashboards in the CMS. They show how the employee app is used and how far people have come with their training. The numbers fill in from what happens in the app, so there is nothing to set up and nothing to count by hand.

The Dashboard has four tabs:

  • Usage. Who is in the app right now, the busiest hours of the week, and this week compared with the week before.
  • Engagement. Active users, time in the app and app opens over the last month, six months or year.
  • Seniority. How long people have worked in each department.
  • Adoption. How many people in each department have signed up to the app.

For training, Academy Stats shows who has finished their onboarding, courses and certificates, and who is falling behind, for the whole company or one person at a time. Managers get the same picture for their own team in the Manager Hub, and if you want the numbers in your own BI tools, the Open API and MCP server can send them there.

Numbers you can act on

Numbers you can act on, split by the departments and groups you already have.

From dashboard to follow-up

The numbers come from how the app is used, so they are there from the first day.

  1. Open the dashboards

Dashboard is the start page of the CMS for administrators and editors. Academy Stats is under Learning in the menu.

  2. Choose who you look at

Pick a department, profession or custom group and a period. Managers see the departments they manage.

  3. Act on what you see

Open an employee to see their progress, remind the people who are behind, or export the numbers for a report.

The same numbers, a different question for each role

What customers say

Read the story

We launched our app in the autumn of 2021 and I honestly cannot understand how we could run our business beforehand. With the app, communication has not only become easier, but it has also been strengthened both within individual hotels and across the company.

The platform behind Analytics

Every Monotree feature runs on the same groups, translations, notifications and security, so you set things up once and it works everywhere.

Questions about Analytics

  1. Who can see the numbers?

Administrators and editors see the Dashboard. Academy Stats is open to administrators, editors and managers, and each of them sees the departments and groups they have access to. Department managers also get their team's numbers in the app through the Manager Hub.

  2. What counts as an active user?

In the engagement numbers, an employee is active in a day, week or month when they have used the app in that period. In the adoption rate, an employee counts as active once they have signed up to the app and have not been deactivated. Kiosk accounts on shared tablets are left out of the engagement and training numbers.

  3. Are invited employees who have not signed up counted?

Not by default. Completion rates are counted over the employees who have signed up. An administrator can turn on Count invited employees in statistics in the settings, so completion rates include everyone who has been invited.

  4. Can we export the numbers or send them to our BI tool?

Yes. Academy Stats exports course progress per employee to Excel, filtered by group, hire date or completion date. With the Open API, your BI or HR system can fetch user counts, engagement, adoption per department, weekly activity and training completion, the same numbers you see in the CMS. Through the MCP server, you can ask an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT about engagement and training.

  5. Can I see how people answered a quiz?

Yes. Open the content breakdown of a course or journey. Each chapter or task shows how many have finished it, and a chapter with a quiz shows how many picked each answer, with the right one marked.

  6. Can I see which news and handbooks are read?

Each announcement shows how many have seen it. For handbooks, the CMS lists the most viewed handbooks with total and unique views, and the words people search for most, for the last month, six months or year.

  7. Do employees see these numbers?

No. The dashboards are in the CMS. Employees see their own progress on onboarding, courses and certificates in the app.

  8. Do we pay extra for Analytics?

No. Monotree has one price per user, and it covers every feature including Analytics, along with AI, integrations, personal onboarding and live chat support. There are no modules or add-ons.
