What syncs from S4labour to Monotree

S4labour and Monotree integration

Monotree connects to your S4labour organisation and, every 15 minutes, reads each site in it with the staff listed there: name, known-as name, email, mobile number, start date and the position they hold. The shifts at every site come across as well, for anyone who is in Monotree. A site you open later is picked up by the next sync.

Your rotas and HR records stay in S4labour, and nothing is written back. Monotree matches positions across the whole organisation, so the Chef position is a single Profession wherever it is used, and each site can feed its own Department. The start date sets when onboarding journeys open, and the SMS invite goes to the mobile number, or to the phone number when no mobile is set.

Questions about the S4labour integration

  1. Do we get shifts from every S4labour site?

    Yes, for the people in Monotree, from 14 days back to 30 ahead by default, up to 60 each way.

  2. Can we use positions as groups?

    Yes. Each position, like Bar Staff or Chef, can become a Profession in Monotree. Positions are matched across your organisation, so one Profession covers the position at every site.

  3. We have many sites. Do we connect each one?

    No. One connection covers every site in your organisation, and each site can become a Department. A site you add later comes over at the next sync.

  4. Which staff details does S4labour share with Monotree?

    Name, known-as name, email, mobile or phone number, start date, site and position. Anyone missing an email is left out, and wages and contracts stay in S4labour.

  5. What happens when a team member is no longer active in S4labour?

    S4labour stops listing them, so the next sync removes them from Monotree. If you have set a grace period, they keep access for those hours first.

  6. Does the S4labour integration cost extra?

    No. It is included in every Monotree plan.

  7. Can we add people who are not in S4labour?

    Yes. Add people like head office staff in Monotree directly. The sync only changes the employees it brought in.

About S4labour

S4labour is workforce management software for pubs, bars and restaurants, covering rotas, time and attendance, payroll, HR and onboarding, with hands-on labour consultancy alongside. It was founded by hospitality operators Alastair Scott, a former managing director of All Bar One, and Phil Lunn. It began as a consultancy, moved into software in 2018 and is based in Banbury, Oxfordshire.
