What syncs from Workfeed to Monotree

Workfeed and Monotree integration

Your Workfeed company is synced into Monotree four times an hour. Each sync carries employees with their name, email and phone, their departments and roles, and every shift from a schedule you have published. Roles are matched by name, so Bar in two departments becomes one Profession in Monotree, and people without a role still come over with their departments.

Workfeed is still where schedules are built and published. In Monotree, each published shift appears in the employee's calendar next to the co-workers on it, who can start a shift chat, and managers see their team's next shifts in the Manager Hub. Departments feed Department groups, roles feed Profession groups, and anyone deleted in Workfeed is removed at the next sync, or after the grace period you set.

Questions about the Workfeed integration

  1. Do unpublished Workfeed schedules show in Monotree?

    No. Monotree only takes shifts from schedules you have published, and only those with an employee on them.

  2. Does a role in two departments become two groups?

    No, one. Roles are matched by name, so a group linked to Bar reaches the bar staff in every department.

  3. Do employees need a role?

    No. Someone without a role is still synced into their department groups, and joins a role group once a role is set in Workfeed.

  4. Do hire dates come over from Workfeed?

    No, hire dates are not part of the sync. Monotree reads name, email, phone, departments and roles, and skips anyone without an email.

  5. What happens when we delete someone in Workfeed?

    They lose access at the first sync after, unless you have set a grace period in Monotree, which keeps them in for that many hours longer.

  6. Does the Workfeed integration cost extra?

    No. It is included in every Monotree plan.

  7. Can we add people who are not in Workfeed?

    Yes. Add people like head office staff in Monotree directly. The sync only changes the employees it brought in.
