What syncs from Personio to Monotree

Personio and Monotree integration

Every 15 minutes, Monotree reads your Personio employee list and brings over each person with the status Active: first and last name, email and hire date, plus the office and position on their profile. Staff still in Onboarding are held back until their status changes. The departments and teams set up there are not read, and salary and absences stay out of the sync.

Personio stays in charge of the records, and the sync never edits anything there. Monotree builds Departments from offices and Professions from positions, and pairing the two narrows a message to, say, the chefs at one office. New starters' journeys open on their hire date, with checklist deadlines set from it. Anyone who leaves Active status is removed at the next sync, or after the grace period you set.

Questions about the Personio integration

  1. Can we use Personio departments or teams?

    No, Monotree reads offices and positions instead. Each office can become a Department and each position a Profession, and news sent to an office and a position together reaches only the people in both.

  2. Are new hires in onboarding invited straight away?

    No. Only employees with the status Active come over. Someone in Onboarding joins Monotree at the first sync after their status changes to Active.

  3. Do Personio attendances show in Monotree?

    Yes, but there is no rota. Confirmed attendances show in each person's own calendar. They carry no department or role, so they come without co-workers or a shift chat.

  4. Does Monotree get phone numbers from Personio?

    No. It reads first and last name, email, hire date, office and position. Salary, absences and documents are left in Personio.

  5. What happens when someone leaves Active status in Personio?

    They are removed at the first sync after the change, or once the grace period set in Monotree has run out.

  6. Does the Personio integration cost extra?

    No. It is included in every Monotree plan.

  7. Can we add people who are not in Personio?

    Yes. Add people like head office staff in Monotree directly. The sync only changes the employees it brought in.
