What syncs from Workday to Monotree

Workday and Monotree integration

Monotree connects to your company's own Workday tenant and, every 15 minutes, reads the workers marked active there. For each one it takes the legal name with any second surname, the home email or else the work email, a phone number with its country code and the hire date. Only the primary job is read, for its organisation and job profile.

Workday remains the HR record, and nothing flows the other way. The organisation behind each primary job can fill a Department, and the job profile, such as Waiter or Store Manager, can fill a Profession. From the hire date Monotree schedules onboarding journeys for each new worker.

Questions about the Workday integration

  1. Can Monotree show Workday schedules?

    No. Monotree reads workers, their organisations and job profiles. Scheduling and time tracking stay in Workday.

  2. Which email does a worker sign in with?

    Their home email if Workday has one, otherwise their work email. A worker with neither is left out until one is added.

  3. What if a worker has more than one job?

    Only the primary job counts. Its organisation and job profile set the worker's Department and Profession in Monotree.

  4. Which worker details come from Workday?

    Legal first name and surnames, email, phone with country code, hire date, organisation and job profile. Pay, time off and everything else stay in Workday.

  5. What happens when a worker is no longer active?

    They are removed at the next sync, or when the grace period you set in Monotree ends. A sync that would remove 40% or more of your workers in one go is stopped, so a single error cannot empty your app.

  6. Does the Workday integration cost extra?

    No. It is included in every Monotree plan.

  7. Can we add people who are not in Workday?

    Yes. Add people like head office staff in Monotree directly. The sync only changes the employees it brought in.
