Questions about the Planday integration

  1. Are Planday open shifts synced?

    No. Shifts assigned to an employee are synced, including approved shifts and shifts for sale. Open shifts, drafts and shifts waiting for approval are not.

  2. What happens to a shift someone puts up for sale?

    Nothing changes in Monotree until a colleague takes it over: it keeps showing in their calendar and in the list of who is working. A shift someone has clocked in to on the Punch Clock stays as well.

  3. Which employee fields and employee groups come over from Planday?

    Name, email, phone, hire date, departments, employee groups and, if you want them, employee types. Job titles are set in Monotree. Salary, contracts and absence stay where they are.

  4. How fast does a new hire in Planday reach Monotree?

    At the next sync, within 15 minutes. Their shifts can take one more sync to appear.

  5. We have several Planday portals. Does that work?

    Yes. One login covers every portal in your account. New portals are added at the next sync, and each portal can have its own country.

  6. Can we use employee types as well as employee groups?

    Yes. Monotree can read employee types, like full-time or extras, instead of or together with employee groups. Tell us whether you want types, groups or both when we connect your account.

  7. Do employees still need the Planday app?

    Yes, for the rota itself: swapping shifts and clocking in. Monotree shows their shifts too, and adds news, chat, training and onboarding.

  8. Does deactivating someone in Planday cut them off at once?

    No. They keep access through their deactivation date and lose it at the first sync after, or later if you set a grace period in Monotree. If one sync would remove 40% or more of your employees at once, it stops instead, so one mistake cannot empty your app.

  9. Does the Planday integration cost extra?

    No. It is included in every Monotree plan.

  10. Can we add people who are not in Planday?

    Yes. Add people like head office staff in Monotree directly. The sync only changes the employees it brought in.
