What syncs from SameSystem to Monotree

SameSystem and Monotree integration

Monotree reads SameSystem department by department. From each one it takes the employees, including those who have not started yet, with name, email, mobile or phone number, start date and role. It also picks up shifts that are released or confirmed, splitting a day with two separate work periods into two shifts, and it repeats all of this every 15 minutes.

SameSystem stays the tool for planning and staff administration. Departments feed Department groups and roles feed Professions in Monotree, while new hires arrive before their first day and their start date drives their onboarding journey. A shift worked on loan is filed under the department that borrowed the person, and anyone on it can open a shift chat with the others.

Questions about the SameSystem integration

  1. Do SameSystem schedules show before they are released?

    No. Monotree waits until shifts are released or confirmed, and then shows them from 14 days back to 30 days ahead.

  2. What happens when we lend staff to another department?

    Their shift is filed under the department that borrowed them, where that team can see them on the day. In Monotree the employee still belongs to their own department.

  3. Do new hires come over before their first day?

    Yes. People who have not started yet are synced too, so their onboarding journey is ready to open on their start date.

  4. Does Monotree take the mobile or the phone number from SameSystem?

    The mobile number, or the phone number when there is no mobile, together with name, email, start date, department and role. Anyone listed without an email is skipped. Salary and time registrations stay where they are.

  5. Can we leave some departments out?

    Yes. Put them in the Excluded from import group in Monotree, and the sync skips them and their shifts.

  6. What if someone disappears from our SameSystem departments?

    They lose access at the first sync after they are gone from every department you sync, or when your grace period ends if you set one. If one sync would remove 40% or more at once, it stops instead.

  7. Does the SameSystem integration cost extra?

    No. It is included in every Monotree plan.

  8. Can we add people who are not in SameSystem?

    Yes. Add people like head office staff in Monotree directly. The sync only changes the employees it brought in.
