What syncs from Fourth to Monotree

Fourth and Monotree integration

The Fourth integration brings your HR records and your schedules into Monotree every 15 minutes. From HR come employees with their preferred name, work or home email, mobile and start date, plus the site and job title of each current employment. From the schedule come the shifts people are rostered for, 14 days back and 30 days ahead by default.

Nothing is written back to Fourth, so HR and scheduling carry on there as before. Monotree fills a Department for each site and a Profession for each job title, and someone with two current employments sits in both. Their start date opens onboarding journeys, and every scheduled shift shows in the calendar with the colleagues rostered at the same site, ready for a shift chat.

Questions about the Fourth integration

  1. Does the sync include worked hours, or only the rota?

    Only the rota. Scheduled shifts with a start time come over, from 14 days back to 30 days ahead by default, adjustable to 60 each way. Worked hours from clocking in and out do not.

  2. Can one person hold employments at two of our sites?

    Yes. Every current employment counts, so they join the groups for each site and each job title. When one employment ends, they leave those groups at the next sync.

  3. Which details does Monotree take from HR?

    Name, or their preferred name if they have one, work email, or home email if there is no work email, mobile number, start date, sites and job titles. Payroll, contracts and absence records stay in Fourth.

  4. What about employees without an email address?

    They are left out until they have a work or home email there. Once either address is added in Fourth, they join at the next sync.

  5. What happens when someone becomes former staff in Fourth?

    Former staff are not read from Fourth, so they lose access at the next sync, or when the grace period your admin set in Monotree runs out.

  6. Does the Fourth integration cost extra?

    No. It is included in every Monotree plan.

  7. Can we add people who are not in Fourth?

    Yes. Add people like head office staff in Monotree directly. The sync only changes the employees it brought in.
