What syncs from HR-ON to Monotree

HR-ON and Monotree integration

The sync pulls your employees out of HR-ON Staff every 15 minutes, each with name, email, phone, job title and all the departments they belong to. The start date is the employment start by default, though the seniority date or a date field you created can be used instead. If you want it, each direct manager can also come across as a group of their reports.

Because Monotree only reads from HR-ON, the employee file stays where your HR team keeps it. Departments and managers fill Monotree Departments, job titles fill Professions, and the chosen start date opens onboarding journeys and shows as tenure in the Manager Hub. An end date counts as a full day of access, and the first sync after it removes the person, unless a grace period keeps them a little longer.

Questions about the HR-ON integration

  1. Does HR-ON Staff send rotas or shifts?

    No. HR-ON Staff is an HR system without a rota, so Monotree reads employees, departments and job titles only.

  2. Can we group people by their manager?

    Yes. Monotree can read each direct manager as a Department, holding the people who report to them. It is switched on per HR-ON account, so mention it when we set up the connection.

  3. Can onboarding run from the seniority date?

    Yes. The employment start date is the default, and we can switch to the seniority date or a date field you have added in HR-ON. Whichever date you pick also shows as tenure in the Manager Hub.

  4. What does Monotree read from an HR-ON employee file?

    Name, email, phone, a start date, departments and job title. Salary, documents and the rest of the employee file stay where they are.

  5. Is someone removed on the day their HR-ON end date is reached?

    No. They can use the app until that day is over. Monotree removes them at the next sync after, or once the access grace period in your Monotree settings has passed.

  6. Does the HR-ON integration cost extra?

    No. It is included in every Monotree plan.

  7. Can we add people who are not in HR-ON?

    Yes. Add people like head office staff in Monotree directly. The sync only changes the employees it brought in.
