Coffee Collective moved its staff handbook from a drawer to its team's phones

Coffee shops in Copenhagen and Aarhus, a roastery and a bakery. The team looked at several different apps before choosing Monotree.

We looked at a bunch of different apps and chose Monotree. Before that, our staff handbook was a PDF we literally printed out, and it ended up in a drawer somewhere. Now it lives on our team's phones. It's one of the things I'm happiest we've spent time and money on, because I can see how big the effect is.

About Coffee Collective

Coffee Collective was founded in Copenhagen in 2007 by Peter Dupont, Casper Engel Rasmussen and Klaus Thomsen, and was led by its founders for 17 years before Rebecca Vang joined as CEO. Klaus, a World Barista Champion, is Head of Coffee Shop Quality.

The company trades directly with coffee farmers and pays prices far above market level. The coffee is roasted every day and delivered to its own coffee shops, subscribers, webshop customers and wholesale partners. The coffee shops are spread across Copenhagen, from Jægersborggade to Torvehallerne and Carlsberg Byen, with one more in the Latin Quarter of Aarhus. Since 2021, Collective Bakery has baked the pastries for all of them.

The headquarters sit above the roastery and coffee shop at Godthåbsvej, with a top floor for training and new ideas. In all, the staff counts around 180 people of many backgrounds and nationalities.
