Roseacre Pub Company was formed in 2014 to run the best local pub restaurants it could: good food and drink, service that pays attention, and prices people can live with. Its first pub was The Dovecote in Narborough, near Leicester. It is an independent, family-owned company, based mainly in Leicestershire, with pubs across the Midlands.
In December 2024 Roseacre celebrated its tenth anniversary, the same month it opened its tenth venue, The Roseycombe in Binley Woods. In August 2025 it took over The Shires in Peatling Parva, its first freehold, and in March 2026 it bought The Crown Inn in Gilmorton. Each pub trades under its own name and is run individually, with the values of the parent company in common.
People come first, and it shows in what the company pays for: career plans written for the person rather than a tick-list, in-house training, college courses, trade shows and accreditation. Josh went from kitchen assistant to kitchen manager in five years. The company's charity of the year is Rainbows Hospice for Children & Young People.
